Heart Disease Symptoms

The most significant of heart attack or heart disease symptoms that men and women experience is chest discomfort.

Other symptoms include:

  • shortness of breath,
  • nausea,
  • fatigue,
  • light-headedness and
  • palpitations - the heart seems to be racing

Any one of these symptoms could be due to other factors, such as stress, so DON'T PANIC!

If you see yourself having the symptoms it is recommended to chew on an aspirin. The aspirin is supposed to help the symptoms of the heart attack to subside.

Waiting to see what happens can cause great damage to your heart so you should go to hospital.

There are different factors that can place a person at risk for heart disease. I personally keep these risk factors in mind so that I can decrease my chances of getting heart disease.

According to research and the American Heart Association what some of the factors that make a person susceptible to heart disease are:

  • family history,
  • high blood pressure,
  • increase in bad cholesterol,
  • obesity,
  • type 2 diabetes,
  • improper function of sugar digestion
  • smoking.
